Blue Sparkles at the NYFW Idan Cohen Show

Idan Cohen - New York Fashion Week - Stassi Schroeder - Just Stassi

I had to start this post with a photo of the designer himself, not just because he created some of the most magical gowns I had ever seen (which you will see  further below), but also because he is one of the most likable & magnetic people I’ve come across. You know how some people just have this great uplifting energy about them?  Um. Yea. He has that.

Before I get to the Idan Cohen show, I gotta give y’all the deets on this outfit (which was one of my faves, partly because I didn’t have to suck in at any point). But seriously, you know how sometimes a look just happens to come together unintentionally but then ends up being so right?! That’s how I felt about this. I was originally going for a sophisticated classic white pants/tweed top situation, when I came across this GLORIOUS sky blue/white/irridcescent sequin shirt. If you’ve been to my blog a few times, you know that I can NOT resist anything sky blue. And with sequins on top of that? I knew I needed it on my body. Like, I could hear my skin begging me for it. So with that, I decided to put it on backwards and pretend it was a jacket just so I could wear it. Honestly, there aren’t that many times where I feel like the cool kid at fashion week… that day, I felt like freaking Regina George… In a good way.

Okay, enough about me… onto the good stuff.

Soooo, my head is exploding right now.

Idan Cohen is a genius who has created a collection so feminine and glamorous, that the only way I can describe how I felt watching, was if I died and came back as Gigi Hadid. LITERALLY, the joy I felt watching all of this pastel, flowing, sparkly goodness was unreal. OBVS I was dying over the ice blue looks. Like, I’m pretty sure I was salivating like a wolf. Which one is your favorite?

  1. Stassi has an eye for the extraordinary pieces. She is not afraid of textures or prints. On a more broad look, her outfits look so simple. She picks simple colors like baby pink, sky blue and white. Then by combining different textures and patterns of the same color she manages to elevate the over all look and make it glamorous and complex. The gold band of her bag on the blue sequin dress is the last perfect touch. She also makes a point by mentioning a simple fact. Sometimes, the best outfits are the ones that come together unintentionally. Stassi’s outfits are not the most glamorous, or the most expensive, but are ones that could inspire anyone. Her blog puts on display, unique designers and pieces that we all dream of owning. Her blog inspires us and gives us the help we need with mixing them into our daily uniforms. I feel like Stassi teaches us to feel sexy in our own skins. She reminds us that the simple inexpensive outfits can bring out our inner divas and make us feel like the super models of this world. I for one love Stassi’s blog. Her outfits are like a luxury box of European chocolate full of different kinds of chocolate. There is a little bit of something for every taste. Stassi blog is a true resurrection of old Hollywood glamour embodied in a sexy everyday American Gal!

  2. Oh my g. I love the contrast of the flowing fabrics and structured sequin details… I can’t even!

  3. None of the links show the clothes Stassi was wearing. Like the blue sequin jacket..
