On this episode of Straight Up With Stassi, Stassi’s fairy godmother Lo French joins to chat about babies, discuss the Bieber-Baldwin marriage, and answer 73 questions.
“I have so many nannies around me.”
“I just need to get pregnant so that I don’t have to worry about sucking in,” Stassi says.
“Can you?” Lo asks. “That’d make me really happy.”
“You know what? I thought, maybe this year, it could happen, but with everything that’s going on and how overwhelmed I am all of the time, if I was pregnant…”
“No, you could do it,” Lo says.
“I’d lose my mind,” Stassi says.
“No, I feel like it would make you more laser-focused,” Lo explains. “Because you would embody the Rachel Zoe, the Victoria Beckham…”
“Beyonce,” Stassi says.
“Are you going to have twins?” Lo asks.
“Hopefully not, but I want to channel my inner Sasha Fierce, and just work,” Stassi explains.
“It’ll make you prioritize, because you’ll know you have to take care of yourself, but also, you want to be successful,” Lo says.
“Alright, I like where your head is at,” Stassi says. “I think I’ve decided — and I’ve told Beau this — that in the summer, we’ll stop being careful.”
“Oh shiiit,” Lo says.
“There are so many women who have a hard time getting pregnant, and I’m very conscious of that, that that could be me,” Stassi explains. “So I feel like I don’t want to waste my time while I can, you know what I mean? It’s not that I want to get pregnant this year or next year, but, what if I’m careful for the next five years of my life and I find out that I’m one of those people that has a really hard time?”
“There’s a new documentary about that on Netflix, and it’s really, really sad,” Lo says. “Luckily there’s a good ending. But it follows this couple over maybe three or four years of their infertility struggles. It’s so emotional, it affects their whole life. It’s so expensive. It’s really sad.”
“I really, truly, hardcore feel for women who have to go through that,” Stassi says.
“And it’s a bigger percentage than we think, like it’s in the thirties,” Lo explains.
“My heart goes out to them, so I’ll be careless, after Brittany and Jax’s wedding,” Stassi says.
“Alex and I will take care of your baby,” Lo offers. “We will double-team nanny.”
“100%,” Stassi says. “I feel like I have so many nannies around me that it’d be really easy.”
“This is not rehearsed.”
“Just know that I haven’t seen these questions,” Stassi clarifies. “I’m sure that like, Emily Ratajkowski was able to plan her answers ahead of time.”
“They all do,” Lo agrees. “I think I took this from Emma Stone’s video.”
“This is not rehearsed, so I don’t know what my answers are, so I might come back and be like, ‘No, that’s not how I would answer that question,’ but let’s give it a shot,” Stassi says.
